All choir members of Year 9 and above are invited to join the Senior Choir which tackles more difficult arrangements. As well as our own regular Christmas concerts, we perform in competition, at community events, as guests of other choirs, fundraising with our annual 'Carols for Commuters' and in 2016 had the pleasure of supporting Jacqui Dankworth and Charlie Wood at one of their ‘Just You, Just Me’ tour concerts. The highlight of 2017 was a joint concert with Polymnia, the leading chamber choir in Milton Keynes.
The Youth Choir has been led by Craig McLeish since 2010. Craig brings a great breadth of knowledge and experience to the choir. As well as long experience in directing choirs and orchestras, he has been composing since the age of 10, arranges music (including for West End productions), produces and promotes other artists and teaches voice, guitar and lots more. He is known nationally for his leadership as Musical Director of the ever-popular Young Voices.
We rehearse from 6pm to 7:25pm on Tuesday evenings during term time at Stantonbury Campus.
Duke of Edinburgh: joining the choir is a qualifying "skill" activity for the DofE awards.
